Well, I've been resisting most of the new technology that you see these days... I've slowly taken to an ipad, but not for much more than sports scores and email. I would admit that banking online is the best thing ever! I haven't upgraded my phone in about 6 years. I've reached a new stage in my life, time for a tech break through!

  1. I know this was just a practice post, but I could not resist commenting on the photo you inserted. It really made me think. So often we are told to make the most of our time. Now we really can. Stuck in line? NO PROBLEM. Just pop out your phone and get some work done. Waiting for the show to start? No problem. You can surf the Internet until the entertainment begins. But of course...wink, wink....please silence your phone when the show begins.

All of this opportunity to get more work done makes me worry about the chances I am missing. Maybe I would have struck up a conversation and made a new friend. Or, maybe I would have gotten lost without my GPS and discovered a place I never knew was there. And maybe when I was waiting for the show to start, I could have daydreamed and thought of a great idea for a project.

Of course, then the devil on my shoulder starts talking again. Maybe, instead of striking up a conversation I would have remained quiet, missed an important deadline and gotten fired. And then...maybe if I had gotten lost (due to a lack of GPS) I would have wandered into an abyss, never to return. And that daydreaming I was talking about? No great ideas came. I sat and ease dropped on the lady behind me talk about her mother's ten cats.

    It is all a conundrum.
